Joseph Giglio is a Senior Partner and founding partner of the firm LexPractis. Within the law firm he heads the criminal law department which a special interest in corporate and vicarious liability as well as issues of transnational crime and prevention of money laundering legislation.
His area of speciality and expertise is in criminal law and has been working in this field for the last 27 years and is considered the leading criminal law lawyer on the island. He was at the forefront of all the major trials during the last 27 years where he has acted both as defence counsel as well as lawyer to the parte civile.
Joseph is the Chairman of LexPractis Limited’s Management Board. He is responsible to ensure the firm’s goals are achieved and that adequate compliance to anti-money laundering procedures are in place.
He lectures in Criminal law and procedure within the Faculty of Law at the University of Malta. He has also been invited to address various seminars and participated in various talks which focus on criminal law. Law student organisations often ask for his intervention and assistance in Moot court sessions.
